An all-around patch is coming to Call of Duty: Warzone which will affect pretty much all aspects of the online battle royale.
Posted recently by Raven Software, the long patch goes into details about gun changes, map changes, and a lot more. Tagging along is also the long-awaited new game mode called Payload.
Weapon Changes in Call of Duty: Warzone
These changes obviously come with a purpose and direction in mind. Speaking of the gun changes, for instance, the dev team aims to ensure that while there is still a ‘favourite’ gun, it nonetheless doesn’t overstay its welcome. They have looked at every weapon in a holistic manner so as to balance each of them in a way that highlights their advantages fairly.
Speaking of which, Call of Duty: Warzone will soon see an addition of three new weapons: OTs 9 Submachine Gun, Mace Melee weapon, and NATO Weaver. The OTs is a fully automatic SMG that excels in close-range combat but comes with a smaller magazine. Both weapons will be unlocked via the Store bundle or by completing an in-game challenge. Though the challenge for the Mace hasn’t been disclosed yet, the challenge for the OTs requires the player to kill two or more enemies rapidly in 15 different completed matches with an SMG. The operator will be a part of the Tracer Pack.
Payload in Call of Duty: Warzone
Payload will be an objective-based game mode with twenty players on each team against each other. The two teams are called Attackers and Defenders. The Attackers spawn with two caravans of vehicles, which they have to escort all the way to the end, as they go through multiple checkpoints. They can build solid structures, destroy them, and even take Contracts to aid their team. On the other hand, Defenders can also build obstacles and kill off enemies on the vehicles to deter the Attackers. If the Attackers manage to escort the vehicles within the time limit, they win.
Limited-Time Event in Call of Duty: Warzone
Called the Blueprint Blitz, this limited-time event will spawn Contraband Contracts will automatically spawn after the player finishes two regular contracts. Contraband Contracts are extremely valuable as they offer permanent Weapon Blueprint rewards along with a ton of cash. During this event, players can get their stocks up with a huge number of Weapon Blueprint rewards. It should be noted, however, that this event applies to core BR and Plunder modes only.
