Call of Duty: Warzone Season 3 was recently launched alongside the new Verdansk ’84 map and a special limited-time event known as The Hunt for Adler. The map was generally well-received, though some players didn’t much like the fact that it looks so similar to the previous version. As far as the event is concerned, things are a bit more one-sided as most players didn’t seem to enjoy it too much. Not because the event was bad per se but because it was marred by a variety of technical issues.

The Hunt for Adler event kicked off shortly after Raven Software nuked the old Verdansk and transported everyone to the 1984 version. The event introduced six new intel challenges themed around the titular Adler, a character that was first featured in Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War. Players were required to complete at least three of the six available challenges to unlock the new Tortured & Rescue legendary skin for the character. Unfortunately, many players were unable to do so because the intel required to complete the challenges would sometimes spawn outside the map. Even worse, progression would often simply not track even after a challenge has been completed correctly.

Developer Raven Software acknowledged the issues as soon as they started to appear but ended up needing several days in order to actually fix them. By the time all the issues were addressed the event was almost over. The good news is that the company decided to give out the skin for free to everyone, as a means of apologizing for the inconveniences caused by the bugs. Even better, the Tortured & Rescued Adler skin will be available for free until the end of season 3. Simply log into your Call of Duty: Warzone account, go to the Operators tab, and you should see the new skin while customizing Adler.

Starting right now and until the end of Season Three, anyone who logs into #Warzone will be granted the ‘Tortured & Rescued’ Adler Skin. We’d like to thank everyone for participating in the Hunt for Adler limited time event and for being patient these past few days.
