The third patch of the current season of Warzone has been released a couple of days ago and it seems to be the biggest one so far. In addition to the usual slew of bug fixes and performance improvements, the developers have also made some important changes to a number of weapons and attachments. But perhaps even more importantly, Raven Software finally decided to do something about the Cargo Truck issue, which had been plaguing Call of Duty Warzone players for quite a while.

Cargo Truck Nerf

Warzone’s Cargo Trucks are ridiculously powerful, to the point where many players preferred to use them instead of guns. Especially in Solos. While that might not seem like a huge problem, COD Warzone is an FPS at the end of the day and the core gameplay should revolve around shooting not driving.

The developers seem to agree and decided to drastically reduce the spawn rate of Cargo Trucks with the release of the most recent update. How drastic are we talking? Well, before you had anywhere between 16 and 20 Cargo Trucks spawning in every match of Verdansk Solo BR and now that number has been reduced to just 5. Players can still use the vehicles but the low spawn rate makes them much more difficult to exploit now. A win-win situation as far as both the developers and the players are concerned.

Reworked Optics

One of the other highlights of the recent patch is the reworked optics. Namely, the Axial Arms 3x, Royal & Kross 4x, and SUSAT Multizoom. According to the developers, the previous versions of these options were prone to causing “distracting motions and visual obfuscation”. Needless to say, this was a major issue during long-ranged engagements and had to be changed.

Most other attachments have remained unchanged with the exception of the LMG suppressor. The muzzle received an ADS speed increase from 2% to 3.5% along with a sprint to fire speed increase from 4% to 5%. Both of these are minor buffs in the grand scheme of things but Raven hopes they will be enough to entice at least some players to try out the LMG in favor of the ever-present Assault Rifles.

Weapon Changes

A number of weapons have also received an interesting changes in the most recent Call of Duty Warzone update. First off, the CR-56 AMAX assault riffle’s headshot multiplier received a slight nerf from 1.62 to 1.5. That should bring it in line with other weapons in its class. Meanwhile, the FARA 83 had its record pattern and hip spread adjusted in an attempt to make it easier to control at range.

The only weapon that received a noticeable buff this patch was the Charlie tactical rifle. The weapon had its recoil magnitude decreased and should now be more efficient. Finally, the LW3 – Tundra sniper rifle had its base optic adjusted to reduce the fisheye lens effect. All other weapons have remained untouched for the moment.
